Mr Darryl John Maxwell

Mr Darryl Maxwell is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in the field of ultrasound examinations during pregnancy and for gynaecology.

Patients are women and are referred to him for scans by other consultants and general practitioners.

Mr Maxwell has been involved with clinical ultrasound in women’s care for 25 years, during that time span that he has seen most of the major developments in this speciality.

He believes passionately in the advances that ultrasound has brought to clinical medicine.

Through his practice and teaching at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and The London Ultrasound Centre, he endeavours to:

• Achieve excellence in the ultrasound examination of women
• Provide sensitive patient care
• Inspire those around him to do the same

He is the founder and senior clinician in the Fetal Medicine Unit at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital London and founding partner and Medical Director of The London Ultrasound Centre.

Because of his very specialist practice Mr Maxwell no longer delivers babies nor performs gynaecological operations.
