Ultrasound does not use radiation or x-rays to create images.

Real time ultrasound has been in safe clinical practice in the UK and the rest of the world for more than 30 years. It’s highly likely you were scanned as a baby.

Our GE Voluson® E8 ultrasound machine is the finest on the market at present, and is meticulously maintained.

However the key to safety in ultrasound is the qualifications and experience of the staff, not so much the equipment used.

All our staff have postgraduate credentials in ultrasound and are active teachers in the field. Some are doubly or even triply accredited.

During your scan the absolute minimum exposure levels will be adhered to.
